This year’s competition takes on a quite different aspect of gardening as prizes will go to the best Scarecrows. Entry forms will be distributed with the St Andrew’s Church Summer School Programme. The forms should be returned to the EVRA letterbox in Waitrose or to the Parish Office and Scarecrows displayed in your front garden on competition day – Saturday 14th August.
The winner will receive the Waitrose Perpetual Cup, a commemorative plaque and generous Waitrose vouchers. Second and third prize winners also receive a plaque and Waitrose vouchers. All others recommended will receive a certificate.
Our thanks go to Waitrose for continuing to support this biennial event and the Parish for distributing and collecting entry forms. Prizes and certificates will be presented at a n evening event in Waitrose Coffee Bar in late September.
