Eaton Ward boundary is essentially: Ipswich Road, River Yare from Harford Bridge to the University Broad, North park Avenue and the Ring Road back to Ipswich Road. We currently have an electorate of around 7400 which is expected to grow to 7800 by 2023. In common with all Wards we are served by three City Councillors. A link to Ward tables show that we are at the lower end of the scale in terms of electorate but do seem to have a larger geographical Ward area than most others. Currently there are an average of 2600 electors per Norwich City Councillor so we are just below that figure.

We know that our Councillors work hard for us all and have to deal with a wide range of communities and associated issues. There is also a lot of green space in the Ward which needs to be protected – Eaton Park, Yare Valley including Marston Marsh, Danby Woods and the Golf Course. On the face of it there appears to be no reason for change since things seem to work well within Eaton Ward but you may have other views.

Please take part in the consultation. We would be interested to hear your views on this topic which you can email to Chris Stebbing at: evra.vc@live.co.uk
