Eaton Primary School Swimming Pool

The swimming pool at Eaton Primary School has been closed because it need essential repairs. Some children are being taken to the Sportspark for their swimming lessons but this only provides lessons for years 3 and 4.

Parents at the school are conducting a survey and are seeking the views of Eaton Village Residents on whether they have used the pool and if they would like it to stay in use as a school and community resource.

Many Eaton Village residents were involved in fundraising for the swimming pool and also helped with its construction back in the 1970s.  Residents have also benefited through use of the pool outside school times for recreational swimming and lessons. Previously all pupils had the opportunity to learn to swim and had regular swimming sessions throughout their time at the school.  Whereas with closure swimming will be limited to minimum provision in accordance with curriculum guidelines.

Please take part in the survey.
