Children’s Fun Run Saturday 25th June 2016

Report on EVRA children’s fun run Saturday 25th June.

Everyone who came along to run, watch or officiate enjoyed themselves on a pleasant sunny cool morning. Entrants included a torch carrier, Brazil flag carrier and double canoeists. Prizes were presented by a Minion. Many thanks to Tesco for donating the first prize and to Heidi Higham of Mascot Costume Hire for loaning the Minion costume. Also a big thank you to all the volunteers who made sure that the runners were safe and to the young lady from Notre Dame High School who donned the Minion costume.

The Children’s Fun Run on 25th June has been organised by Vic Flute and will use an off-road course starting at Eaton Green and using nearby footpaths. We will post stewards around the course to supervise the children taking part. Donations will go towards our playground project at Eaton Green.

Children’s Fun Run –  This is a non competitive untimed run starting and finishing at the play park on Eaton Green.  There will be prizes for the best costumes – the theme is the same as for the Scarecrow Competition OLYMPICS.  Children to be at the play park for 9.30 for judging (any item of costume that would make running difficult can be removed before setting off at 10.00). It is a half kilometre course but runners can do up to 4 laps if they wish.

PLEASE NOTE Children under the age of 6 taking part in the fun run must be within arms reach of a responsible adult at all times.

We need to know the number of people (children and spectators) who will be at this event for insurance purposes so ask that you provide the details requested.  Please include a donation (suggested amount £2 per child). Please complete the entry form below for the Children’s Fun Run and drop into the EVRA post Box in Waitrose or deliver to 11 Brentwood. Please label your envelope FUN RUN
