DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce the launch of our I Love Eaton Photo Competition!  \n\n\n\nEveryone is invited to take part and may submit up to two photographs capturing whatever makes you love Eaton most — whether that’s your family\, your home\, or a treasured place you love to visit. The competition will run from 1 April until 1 September\, after which we will invite the community to view the entries at a venue to be confirmed and cast their votes. Voting will also be available online via a Microsoft Teams form. Votes will close on the 20 September with the top 12 winners to feature in our I Love Eaton Calendar 2027\, which will be available to purchase at the Eaton Arts Fair on 10 October. \n\n\n\nThere is no age limit — everyone is warmly encouraged to submit. SUMMARY:Donkey Lane work session
DESCRIPTION:Donkey Lane is included in the Norwich City Community Garden Festival which celebrates outdoor spaces managed by local volunteers. The festival takes place over the weekend of 25th/26th April and involves 34 community groups and spaces around the City. Donkey Lane is a well used footpath between Greenways and Newmarket Road and the banks and verges have been managed by EVRA since 2015. You can read more about the project at: Friends of Donkey Lane – Eaton Village Residents’ Association \n\n\n\nThe EVRA Friends of Donkey Lane Group will be having a work session to tidy up along the Lane on the morning of Saturday 25th April and you are welcome to come and join us from 10:30 till noon. We will be clearing brambles before they get too big along with the Goose Grass (also known as: Cleavers\, Sticky Willy\, Stick-a-Back\, Catch Weed\, Coachweed\, Scratch Tongue) which is taking over some areas\, and also other tasks.  \n\n\n\nWe have some tools but bring work gloves if you have them and a drink. Dress for whatever weather we have on the day and be aware that you might get a bit mucky! Stout shoes would be useful for working on the steep banks. We will have a flask of hot water and tea and coffee and cups to make drinks and have a few biscuits. \n\n\n\nWe will meet at 10.30 on Donkey Lane behind the houses on Greenways\, at the bottom of the slope from Wentworth Green.
