Eaton Village Residents Association (EVRA) is delighted to bring back the Eaton Scarecrow Trail and Garage Sale Trail, taking place from Saturday 8th August to Sunday 16th August 2026.
📺 Scarecrow Trail
This year’s theme is TV Shows!
From classic sitcoms and children’s favourites to game shows, dramas and modern hits, we can’t wait to see your favourite television characters and programmes brought to life.
The trail is free to enjoy and will take visitors around the village to discover all the amazing creations. Voting Categories
Visitors can vote for their favourite scarecrows in the following categories:
🏆 Best in Show
Awarded to the overall standout scarecrow, combining creativity, craftsmanship and wow factor.
😂 Comedy Gold
For the scarecrow that raises the biggest smile or laugh with a funny TV-inspired creation.
📺 After School Favourites
Celebrating the best scarecrow inspired by children’s television, from timeless classics to modern favourites.
📼 Blast from the Past
Honouring iconic television from years gone by and the nostalgic characters we all remember.
✨ No Frills, All Thrills
Recognising the scarecrow that proves you don’t need an elaborate budget to create something brilliant.
Prize Giving
The winners will be announced at the Prize Giving Ceremony on:
Sunday 16th August at 4:00pm

Everyone is welcome to come along and celebrate another fantastic year.

Over the 8th and 9th August 19 Garage sales will be taking place all over the village! Check out the map to see where you can hunt for bargains!

Or pick up a printed copy from Butterfly Homes from the 8th August.
The trail maps will have a QR code that you can scan to vote online, or you can complete the form on the map and post it to 9 Abinger Way or the EVRA postbox by the tills in Waitrose by 5pm on the Saturday 15th August.
