EVRA has received information via our Eaton Councillors about roadworks starting on 17th March on the A11 Newmarket Road / Roundhouse Way roundabout which will end in August during the school summer holidays. Works include installation of new drainage, widening of the A11 lanes, resurfacing of the roundabout and installation of new traffic signals. Most of these works will be carried out under land closures, with some full road closures for later elements of the works.
The scheme has been designed by Norfolk County Council and is being delivered by Breheny Civil Engineering Ltd, on behalf of Barratt Redrow and Tilia Homes. These works are separate from the Thickthorn Interchange works starting in 2025 and scheduled for completion in 2029.
A copy of the traffic management phasing plans have been provided detailing the relevant stages of the works. The first of these is an overall plan of the scheme. The second set of documents is a presentation covering each stage of the works and the diversion routes during night time closures. The Causeway One.network website will provide more detail on the closures and diversions: Causeway one.network
