Eaton Scarecrow Trail

Over the past week our Scarecrow builders entertained, educated and amused us with their creations. The 22 scarecrows covered a wide range of topics under the Theme “Highlights of the Queen’s Reign” from Royal events to scientific discoveries via the heights of Mount Everest. Photos of all the scarecrows are on the EVRA website at: Eaton Scarecrow Photos July 2022 – Eaton Village Residents’ Association

It was a busy week of festivities with our Family Fun Day at the Cellar House attracting many people and raising around £240 for EVRA Projects. Cake sales by Elaine on Saturday and Grace, Finn and Mia on Sunday raised £160 between them. Our Garage Sales held over the final weekend raised almost £90 from donations for being listed on our Trail Map.

So a big thank you to everyone who participated and especially those who displayed scarecrows or held garage sales. Thank you also to our helpers and to everyone who supported our Family Fun Day and to Direct dance who entertained us. Thank you also to everyone who toured the scarecrows and sales. We also thank Victoria and Grahame and the team at the Cellar House for once again lending us their garden for the Fun Day. Thanks also go to Smith & Pinching and Winkworths for their donations and support for our events.

Votes for your favourite scarecrows are still being counted and the results will be posted in the next few days.

Only a year to go to the next one! What will the theme be for 2023?
