EVRA 2025 AGM – Wednesday 15th October

We would like to announce that following the October AGM Chris Stebbing is retiring after 9 years as Chair of the EVRA Committee. Chris has been at the heart of so much of what EVRA has achieved, from giving our village sign a new lease of life, to helping bring a shiny new roundabout to the park, to pushing for safer speeds in our streets. Thanks to his efforts, EVRA has grown to cover so many more things and is busier than ever! While Chris won’t be our Chair anymore, we’re delighted he’ll still be around to help out with some of our activities (we couldn’t let him get away completely!). A huge thank you to Chris for everything he’s done – he’ll be very much missed in the role, and we’re so grateful for the time, energy, and enthusiasm he’s given to the community over the last 15 years!

We need more people to get involved! Our committee is currently the smallest it’s ever been as we have a vacant Vice-Chair position and only 3 out of 5 committee member roles filled at the last AGM. Also soon a vacant Chair position. We know life is busy (it is for us too!), but without more support, it will be impossible to keep organising events and responding to village matters in the way we do now. The commitment isn’t huge. The committee meets every two months, with updates handled by email between meetings. The Events Team arranges and manages our events and reports to the committee with updates or requests for funding.

We’d love to see more residents join in — whether you’re working full time, retired, or somewhere in between, your skills and ideas can help us keep Eaton Village thriving. Come along to the AGM (see details below) and volunteer for Committee roles or contact us beforehand (Tel: 07798 571914, Email: evra.vc@live.co.uk). You will find more information about the work of the EVRA Committee on our website at: All About EVRA – Eaton Village Residents’ Association

The EVRA Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday 15th October 2025 at Eaton Golf Club starting at 7.30pm where we will formally conduct the business of the Association including presentation of reports and accounts for 2024/25 and election of the Committee for the coming year. The Agenda for the AGM and other reports and the accounts will be posted on the EVRA website prior to the meeting and copies will also be available on the night. Nominations for the Committee should be sent to the Secretary by 12th October and should be signed by the proposed, proposer and seconder. In the event of there not being enough people nominated to fill the available places on the committee, the annual meeting may decide to accept nominations from the floor. Any other business (AOB) must be notified to the secretary at least 14 days prior to the meeting (1st October 2025). Nominations and AOB notices can be delivered via the EVRA postbox in Waitrose or to 54 Greenways.
