Photos from Dyke Dipping – Wednesday 29th May

Matt Davies from NorwichFringe project led two Dyke Dipping sessions on Marston Marshes on Wednesday 29th May. Despite the showers the children, along with their parents or Grandparents, had a good time catching a variety of water creatures. The species found included the larva of caddis fly, dragonfly, and damsel fly; water scorpions, snails, water boatmen and lots of tadpoles. Matt and his team were on hand to help children identify the species and tell them about the lifestyle and habits of the creatures. Here are a few photos of the event.
