Planning Application for old Barclays Bank site

A Planning Application has recently been submitted to the City Council for the redevelopment of the former Barclays Bank site on Church Lane. The proposal is for four dwellings plus a commercial unit. You can read more about the application via the link below. Click on the Documents tab to view the plans and other documents associated with the application: https://planning.norwich.gov.uk/online-applications/centralDistribution.do?caseType=Application&keyVal=QEL5H2LX0HQ00

The closing date for submission of comments is 27th August 2020.

The EVRA Committee is considering its response and a key concern will be avoiding disruption during building works so that we do not experience again the horrendous traffic jams caused by various works on Senna Mews which led to long tailbacks in all directions.

We are encouraging people to submit their own comments but EVRA will also respond to this. We would be interested in hearing your views and comments, especially from those living nearby who will be affected throughout the period of demolition and construction. Matters such as parking of contractor vehicles on Chestnut Hill has the potential to cause big problems for residents for many months.
