The Eaton Post Office has announced that it is closing on 30th June. Victoria has run the Eaton Post Office at the Cellar House since February 2016 when the old Post Office closed. Victoria posted the following message on their Facebook page about the closure:

“It is a very regrettable decision and not taken lightly, but our hands are very much tied by Post Office Limited and Royal Mail and the cuts in remuneration from both organisations. These have made the post office unviable and the pub can not continue to subsidise the operation. Victoria”

Eaton Residents thank Victoria and team for providing a Post Office Service for the past seven years and are sorry that they have decided to close. It would be great if another business took on providing a Post Office in Eaton but we recognise the economics of doing so.
