Consultation on next Phase of the McCarthy Stone Development on Bluebell Road

I have received a letter from McCarthy Stone inviting me to participate in a virtual consultation on Phase 3 of the development on Bluebell Road. Other Eaton residents may also have received a letter. This consultation is prior to seeking Planning Approval and is part of their meaningful community engagement. The development is just outside the EVRA boundary but may impact on Eaton Village residents through additional traffic and pressure on local services.

Phase 1 for 60+ properties was built some years ago on part of the Bartram Mowers site and is occupied. Phase 2 for 40+ properties has been approved but building work has not yet commenced. This consultation is for the third phase of the development for a further 100 specialist properties – 52 Apartments, 26 bungalows and 22 affordable, shared ownership apartments. Some 200 properties will have been built on the 23 hectare site when completed. The remaining 17.3 hectares of the site will be protected public open space between the development and the River Yare including the Strawberry Field area. Further details can be found in the information letter below and on the McCarthy Stone website .

The consultation is open for comments from Saturday 12th to Saturday 19th February 2022 and you can access this at: McCarthy Stone – Eaton (mccarthystoneconsultation.co.uk)
