Dear Eaton Residents
The 34th Norwich Scout Group are looking for helping hands, so we’d like to share with you a bit about being a Scout Group Trustee. Scouts is where young people make new friends and learn “Skills for Life”. In the UK they are supported by 150,000 volunteers and out of that number 80,000 are Trustees. We are looking for volunteer Trustees to help run our Charity; it’s an opportunity for adults of any age.
Our Trustees help behind-the-scenes undertaking administration roles, fund-raising, looking after our buildings, outdoor spaces and equipment, maintaining safety records and much more. Being a Trustee is great for professional development particularly for people in employment who wish to gain experience in finance, risk management or committee work. Or you could be retired and looking to give a bit of your time to a local charity. We are looking for Trustees with a wide range of skills whatever your age and experience.
No previous experience at Scouts, or as a Trustee, is necessary and whilst time commitment can vary depending on the type of Trustee role, its usual for Trustees to meet 5-6 times per year (usually in the evening), but most will volunteer to undertake some tasks at home between meetings.
If you’d like to get involved or find out more about becoming a Trustee with the 34th Norwich (Eaton St Andrew) Scout Group, please contact us by 19th September 2024 by email: enquiries.34thnorwich@gmail.com
Please provide your name, contact details and telephone number so that we can get back to you.
