EVRA Events in July

The EVRA Scarecrow Festival runs from Saturday 16th July to Sunday 24th July and the theme for 2022 is “Highlights of the Queen’s Reign”. We are hoping for lots of entries this year to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The “Highlights” could be Royal but they could also mark a significant event from the past 70 years.

Scarecrows do not have to be complicated and can often be made from re-purposing things in your home. Our Scarecrow Gallery on the EVRA website includes photos of past scarecrow entries and might provide inspiration on what to do and how to make it! https://eatonvillage.co.uk/events/groups-clubs-activities/

The Scarecrow Trail map will include a voting form so that you can vote for your favourite scarecrow. Prizes will be awarded to the scarecrow receiving most votes in each of the categories

Tell EVRA if you are making a Scarecrow and we will add you to our Scarecrow and Garage Sale Trail Map which will be available to download around 12th July. Contact Chris at: evra.vc@live.co.uk

Family Fun Day is on Sunday 17th July in the Cellar House Garden from 12 noon until 4 pm. We will have a range of traditional fete games and tombola, all at affordable prices. Money raised will go towards the refurbishment of the Eaton Village Sign and other EVRA projects for the community. The Cellar House will have a barbecue outside. This is a family friendly event and all residents are welcome to come and join us.

Garage Sales will take place around Eaton Village on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July. A garage sale is an opportunity to find a new home for those things you no longer need or to seek out that bargain or forever desired item to add to your collection. People will be out and about touring the scarecrows so having a garage sale as well as a scarecrow will bring them to your house. You can have your sale on both days or either of the days – just let EVRA know at: evra.vc@live.co.uk and we will add your location to the Scarecrow and Garage Sale Trail Map. A donation of £5 to EVRA is requested from those having Garage Sales.
