Polling districts and polling stations review 2023

The City Council Elections Team are conducting a consultation around proposed changes to boundaries and polling stations and sent the following message to EVRA as a proposed change is to the location of one of the polling stations in Eaton. The proposal is to locate the Polling Station to St Andrew’s Church Hall on Church Lane as the Church of the Latter Day Saints on Greenways will no longer be available for use as a Polling Station.

Information about the consultation and how to take part can be found in the message below received from the City Council. The consultation can be accessed via the link in the message below and will close on 4th January 2024.

Dear Stakeholder

I am writing to inform you that Norwich City Council is conducting a Polling District, Places and Stations Review in its area.

We are particularly interested in the following:-

  • how convenient (or not) the location is in relation to where you live (or residents in your area)
  • whether there is adequate parking
  • what access is available for disabled and/or wheelchair users?
  • how suitable overall it is for voting?
  • are there any suitable alternatives in the area?

You can find out more details about taking part and about the review on our website – Boundary and polling district reviews | Norwich City Council

On 6 November 2023, the Acting Retuning Officer published her revised proposals. The proposed changes to Polling Districts, Places or Stations can be found on our website.

The review is now and open to consultation and we welcome your views on these changes and any existing arrangements.

The consultation will close on 4 January 2024 and any changes will be approved by a meeting of full council on 30 January 2024.
