Happy New Year. Welcome to 2024.

If you are looking for ideas for New Year’s Resolutions then how about helping out in your Community.

EVRA relies on volunteers to plan and run its events and activities and here are some opportunities to help.

Our Events Planning Team can only deliver events if it has sufficient help. Vic would like to hear from you if you can assist. Email the team at: events.evra@gmail.com

Helen sorts out our Newsletters for distribution to 22 routes in Eaton Village by our volunteers and always needs more volunteers to add to the team. We issue two Newsletters a year (late March and early September) and each round typically takes just over an hour to deliver to 60 or so houses so not too onerous. You can email us at: evra.vc@live.co.uk

We also manage the banks along Donkey Lane and more volunteers would be welcome to help with this. We have just ordered 125 hedging trees to fill some of the gaps in the hedgerow and we will need help planting these. We will collect the trees on the morning of Saturday 10th February and they need to be planted over that weekend. Further detail will be posted on our Facebook page and website nearer the time but you could put the dates in your diary now.

We regularly move the Eaton Speed Awareness Monitor (SAM) and have a small team for this but would welcome additional volunteers to call on and assist with the moves. Each move takes around 30 minutes and the battery and the sign each weigh around 11 Kgs and have to be lifted 2.5 metres into place. Contact me at evra.vc@live.co.uk
